Rob George’s experience across a spectrum of litigation, including commercial, personal injury, mass tort, oil and gas, and employment, makes him a valuable resource for his clients. Rob has also advised clients on transactional matters like groundwater and oil and gas leases, groundwater district governance, the Clean Water Act, and other issues of regulatory control over real property.

Rob has in the past and continues to represent victims of oilfield related deaths, including crashes involving oil field trucks such as water trucks, sand trucks, low boys, belly dumps, frac trucks, drilling rigs, as well as injuries and deaths arising from unsafe workplace conditions in oilfield and gas pipeline facilities and locations. Rob also has and continues to handle cases involving trucking and commercial vehicle litigation, dram shop liability, commercial litigation, and wage and hour litigation under the FLSA.

Recently, Rob managed two mass tort dockets involving emissions “cheat” devices in Volkswagen diesel vehicles and contamination of the City of Corpus Christi’s public drinking water. Rob served on the co-lead counsel team representing people injured or killed by General Motors’ defective ignition switches. He successfully represented the City of Corpus Christi on appeal in Rodriguez v. City of Corpus Christi, No. 16-41004 (5th Cir. 2017) (cert. denied), obtaining a reversal of the jury verdict in a free-speech retaliation case. And Rob was part of the trial team in two personal injury trials that settled during the course of trial, resulting in confidential settlements for his clients.

Rob served as a law clerk for The Honorable Thad Heartfield, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas in Beaumont, Texas and as briefing attorney for The Honorable Gina Benavides, Court of Appeals for the Thirteenth Judicial District of Texas in Edinburg, Texas. While a student at Baylor University School of Law, Rob worked on the Baylor Law Review, placed first in the intraschool moot court competition, earned academic honors, and competed as a member of the Administrative Law moot court team.

Raised in San Antonio, Rob earned a BBA from Baylor University and worked for seven years in high technology and pharmaceutical sales before attending law school. Rob married his best friend, and they are raising three children in Corpus Christi, Texas, where Rob serves as the President of the Board of The Rise School and as the Secretary of the Board of Annapolis Christian Academy.
