Rob George

Rob George’s litigation expertise makes him a valuable resource to his clients. His experience includes commercial litigation, personal injury, mass tort, oil and gas and employment cases.

Rob has also advised clients on transnational matters such as groundwater and oil and gas leases, groundwater district governance, the Clean Water Act and other issues related to regulator control over real estate property. Mr. George’s practice is entirely devoted to litigation and appeals.

Mr. George represents victims of oil field-related deaths and serious injuries, including crashes involving oil field vehicles, and injuries and deaths that are the result of unsafe working conditions in oil field and gas pipeline facilities and locations. Additionally, he handles trucking and commercial vehicle litigation, dram shop liability, commercial litigation and way and hour litigation under FLSA.

Recently, Mr. George managed two mass tort/class action dockets. One involved Volkswagen’s emissions ‘cheat’ devices, and Mr. George was part of the team representing individuals from Corpus Christi and various Texas counties. In the other docket, Mr. George and his team represented individuals and business owners in Corpus Christi and Nueces County in litigation regarding the contamination of the public drinking water.

Before joining Liles White PLLC, Mr. George served as a law clerk for The Honorable Thad Heartfield, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas in Beaumont, Texas and as a briefing attorney for The Honorable Gina Benavides, Court of Appeals for the Thirteenth Judicial District of Texas in Edinburg, Texas.

While studying law at Baylor University, Mr. George worked on the Baylor Law Review, placed first in the intra-school moot court competition, earned academic honors and competed as a member of the Administrative Law moot court team.

Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Mr. George earned his B.B.A. from Baylor University. After which he worked in tech and pharmaceutical sales for seven years before deciding to attend law school. Mr. George is married to his best friend and they are raising their three children in Corpus Christi, Texas where he serves as the President of the Board of the Rise School and as the Secretary of the Board of Annapolis Christian Academy.

Notable Experience

Mr. George served on the co-lead counsel representing people injured or killed by General Motors’ defective ignition switches.

Mr. George successfully represented the City of Corpus Christi on appeal in Rodriguez vs. City of Corpus Christi, No. 16-41004 (5th Cir. 2017) (cert. denied). Mr. George’s efforts resulted in the reversal of the jury verdict in a free speech retaliation case.

Mr. George has served as appellate counsel and second chair in jury trials in Nueces County, Hidalgo County and Duval County. He currently provides support to litigation teams with cases pending in Santa Fe, New Mexico and El Paso County, Duval County, Live Oak County, Dallas County, Harris County and Nieces County in Texas.
